M O D O - Music Of Distinct Origin
Modo returns with a bang for a taste of the old Modo parties with it’s launch night at the super cool and perfectly placed Dead Wax Digbeth.
After many successful years upstairs at the Old Bulls Head in Moseley and on the back of it’s sister night Modo Pastiche at the Dark Horse Moseley, the Modo crew are pleased to bring you the old style Modo complete with that unmistakable sound we made so popular in it’s early years at the old Bulls Head. Think Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Hot Creations and their super cool deep house sounds with big bass drops engulfed around uplifting techno.
We were so proud to run for over 5 years in the early days of the Modo family, bringing some unforgettable parties to that dark upstairs club like room at the Bulls Head. After searching for some time to find a venue that replicates that similar vibe and look, we were super excited to find Dead Wax Birmingham. The bar has a unique feel inside with an über cool downstairs and a venue above that seems all too similar to those Bulls Head days. So much so that we immediately booked us in for a series of parties starting with the old Modo residents in a take over launch style party to get the ball rolling.

Expect big tunes and a super happy vibe where the Modo family come together to enjoy the night. Fingers crossed we will be let free with the ability to roam around and fill that dance floor like we used to, it seems so long ago now.
Entrance is £5 plus booking fee with SEE TICKETS or you can simply pay on the door. Spaces are limited though so we suggest getting those tickets in early to avoid disappointment.
We at the Modo crew have missed you all so much and are determined to bring you a launch party to remember, to set the precedent for many many future parties, bringing that happy uplifting feel good Modo vibe to the Dead Wax dance floor in Digbeth.
See you on the dance floor…finally!
