Idle Noise are an indie rock quartet from Coventry. The band take influence from a range of artists including The Strokes, Circa Waves, Courteeners and The Enemy. With infectious hooks, stomping choruses and huge stage presence, their performances capture the audience of every show they play.
The last few years have seen them play alongside the likes of The Charlatans and The Wombats with 2 consecutive main stage slots at Coventry’s Godiva Festival, as well as a range of other shows and artists across the UK. More recently, they supported Coventry’s own Tom Clarke (The Enemy) at a sold out hometown show in December 2019, followed by the band’s own sold out headline show at Manchester’s iconic Deaf Institute in January 2020.
Since forming, every track the foursome have released has been aired on BBC Introducing radio, with their 2019 singles ‘Rapture’ and ‘Everybody Gets Famous’ also being frequently featured on pre match and half-time playlists at League One and Championship Football clubs Coventry City and Luton Town.
Their previous single ‘Everybody Gets Famous’ was released in July 2019 to positive reactions across the country. It received immediate airplay on Amazing Radio, Transmission Radio and was selected as ‘Tune of the Week’ on BBC Introducing in Coventry and Warwickshire the day after release. The band hope that their new single ‘Ghosts’ (due to be released May 29th) will surpass the success of their previous releases.
Formed by ex-members of the legendary indie rock band Hurricane #1, brothers Carlo & Lucas Mariani have started FREESPIRITS out of their burning passion for rock music, wanting to shake things up in their local scene and bring rock and roll back to the forefront.
Crafting their own genre nicknamed “brickpop” by blending loads of 90's styles like Britpop, Garage Rock and Grunge they create something unique with the right dose of catchy melodies, fuzzy riffs and driving beats.
Famous for their highly energetic live performances they play every show like it’s their last, leaving audiences mesmerised wherever they play!
They're influenced by the all-time greats like Oasis, The Verve, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin & Bands that, like FREESPIRITS, make music straight from the heart with no labels and no compromising.
The band came about in 2012 when the Mariani brothers left Brazil and moved to England following the steps of the British artists they grew up listening to.
They have now relocated to Coventry and are regularly gigging in the West Midlands area and London as well. Soon enough they started playing shows from Southampton to Aberdeen, gigging in
high profile venues as The Garage in London & Manchester's Academy as well as festivals like Sound City, Tramlines & Great Escape. They also toured Germany, Italy, USA and Japan creating a loyal fan base across the globe and developing a captivating stage presence. Since then they've supported major acts like Ride, Echo & The Bunnymen, Ash, Shed 7, Bluetones, Carl Barat and the Jackals and many more...
Their music has been played on several radios including Virgin Radio UK and BBC Introducing.
