  • Dead Wax Digbeth 28 Adderley Street Birmingham, England, B9 4ED United Kingdom (map)

Genevieve and her band bring her indie fusion sound to Dead Wax for their first headline set in Brum in 18 months, supported by Eliza May, Sunbalm and Eleanor Hill.

G enevieve Miles -

Genevieve's funk influences blend with her trademark psychedelic pop elements, creating a sound inspired by the likes of Parcels, Talking Heads and Khruangbin. ‘Good,’ her most recent single, was first launched on the new Hyundai advert in June, and accumulated over a million views in less than two weeks.
"... I love throwing myself around on stage and shouting as loud as I can: it's for all those years that I stayed quiet, didn’t get mad, people pleased. This is the time of the wild woman: we are loud, emotional, ALIVE."

Eliza May -

With her bubbly personality, iconic colourful hair and contagiously catchy tunes, Birmingham based indie pop artist Eliza May knows how to stand out from the crowd. Using intricate harmonies alongside captivating melodies, Eliza brings a refreshingly warm vibe to the indie pop scene. In previous years, Eliza has played at Brighton Pride 2018, supported Declan J Donovan in 2020, headlined the O2 Institute Birmingham with her band in 2021 and this year alone has headlined Sofar Sounds Birmingham, played amazing festivals such as Y Not? Festival and Hereford Indie Food Festival and has supported incredible artists such as Kate Nash, Tiffany and Rianne Downey. Eliza has also had a great deal of support from blogs and radio stations throughout the country including BBC Introducing WM, Amazing Radio (UK & US), Islington Radio (London), GMTF Radio (South Wales), King City Online and Dead Good Music Blog. Eliza recently released her new single "Candy Heart" which uses wholesomely clever lyrics and captivating vocals to give you that warm, honeymoon stage feeling in a fun and playful way. If you’re looking for an indulgently sweet song that leaves you wanting more then be sure to check out “Candy Heart” available now on all online music platforms."
