Ed Geater, the Birmingham (UK) born singer, multi-instrumentalist and beatboxer combines sublime songwriting, rhythmical dexterity and technical prowess in his masterful self-produced works.
Growing up on a staple musical diet of alternative rock, folk and electronica, equally matching his love of classical music, Ed switched his childhood instrument from violin to guitar and pursued his love of writing songs, whilst honing his metronomic beatboxing skills.
Whilst Ed creates this sound completely authentically live, without any sampling, when producing in the studio he is not afraid to weave in layers of sonic textures, synthetic patterns and bass lines into his acoustic arrangements, adding depth and richness to the end product.
His next release – IN – the first of a trilogy of EPs released on Birmingham label Brox Records, takes the listener on a three-step journey rich in melody and solace.
With two further EPs in the pipeline, a publishing deal secured and a record label in Brox Records, what the future holds for this unique talent Ed Geater is as exhilarating as his musical material.

Spanning future bass, dubstep, garage and drum & bass - James Vine, aka ENiGMA Dubz, has been the worst kept secret of the global bass music scene for more than a decade.
Producing garage and house from his Birmingham (UK) bedroom in his late teens under the name DJ V, his 2008 bootleg of Faithless’ We Come One was Kissy Sell Out’s track of the month on BBC Radio 1.
Later that year, after James experienced the cream of UK underground dubstep at SubDub’s legendary Exodus night in Leeds - including Skream, Plastician & Digital Mystiks (Mala & Coki): ENiGMA Dubz was born.
Fast forward to 2010 and The Darnce EP released on LU10 Records received serious heat - leading to Laidback Luke blasting the title track at EDC’s mainstage that summer.
Albums on LU10 followed - with 2011’s Varationz and 2012’s Genesis - but unannounced the label dissolved, taking their releases off digital platforms, except YouTube and Soundcloud - where the tracks racked up millions of plays.
Disillusioned with the industry - James kept putting music out with no plan other than expressing himself, including 2012’s landmark garage EP, Hard To Smile on Four40 Records.
Picked by heroes Chase & Status for a studio masterclass in 2014, James released 2015 albums The Journey so Far, Pt 1 and The Journey so Far, Pt 2 on his own From The Vine label.
After making a resurgence in 2019, his 2020 Geater Dubz collaboration with fellow Brummie Ed Geater saw Part of You (ENiGMA Dubz Remix) curated by Spotify in its Creamy playlist.
